Well! That’s another trip around the sun complete.

And so, as is tradition, we’re finishing off the year with the 10 most clicked articles in The100 during the last 12 months.

Usual serving suggestion applies: Best enjoyed with a cuppa.

In 10th

A guide to what the Brits mean when they say certain things. I wonder how LLMs cope with this?

In 9th

Domo’s ever interesting ‘every minute of the day’ graphic. Which, if my maths is correct, shows that for every 50 steps taken in America, 1 minute of Netflix is watched.

In 8th

If you do any presenting, then this interview with the all time master, Marcus Henry Brown, will most certainly help. (Marcus’s Canvas tool is also ace.)

In 7th

Grant Slatton’s piece on how Nobody Cares is spot on. Especially the bluetooth speaker, self order kiosks and escalators.

In 6th

Lots of people are going to be asking you for lots of things next year. Here are some useful templates to help you say no.

In 5th

Better Stories did the lord's work by cataloguing 15 storytelling frameworks, complete with instructions on when to use each.

In 4th

“Chaos packaging” and putting familiar products in surprising formats has been popping up a lot this year. Jasmine Bina shared how successful chaos packaging (and other broken category norms) can be explained by flouting the rules of social and economic capital.

In 3rd

Some great ideas in the comments for ways to replace the awkwardness of going round the room and introducing yourself. I particularly like the ‘tell us your name and something about your name’.

In 2nd

Old, but gold. A 9 year old clip from SNL on the bubble. Funny, observant and coming true.

In 1st

Richard Huntington’s value grid. By his reckoning, there are 9 value positions, but only 5 are advantageous places to be.

Thanks a million for taking the time this year to read The100. Have a wonderful break and I’m looking forward to hopefully making you think, and smile, in 2026.

Catch ya on the other side,

Fran
